Thank you for confirming what I suspected. I'm waiting for a response from the plugin developer, but they are a bit slow. This helps me make some workflow decisions.
It doesn't appear to be possible. The preset is from a plugin, which is selected from the 'Export to:' drop-down at the top of the Export screen. It does not include a 'File Naming' function. And, it does not appear in any of the other windows. In the highlighted choice (unrelated)...
I have created several 'Smart Collections' to gather photos of specific people, based on that person or person's name being a keyword.
For example:
To select images that contain any, or all, of a family of four persons. 'Any of the following are true' followed by four lines..... 'Keywords'...
Manually changing the Denoise-produced filename does not work. Since it changed the 'Original File Name' to its current filename, the number suffix is no longer available. For now, it appears the only remedy is to change the names of the exported files manually.
Yes, correct. Since the new file created by Denoise has appended the text to what was the file number suffix, it no longer exists as such. Furthermore, it changed the 'Original File Name' to the full name of the new file, which means it doesn't exist there either. So, editing the new file's...
While the new 'Denoise' function seems to work great, it is creating some problems with my renaming functions.
For years, I have renamed my camera files to include the 'date' and the 'original file suffix'. 'Denoise' adds 'Enhanced-NR' to the end of my file name when creating its new DNG file...
Sorry… it is a plug-in used to upload and sync images with the stock agency, Alamy.
I probably should have said that in my post, as I was following up on some other threads here that were closed to comments.
Is Lightroom-Bridge still functional???
Looking at closed threads in this forum, there doesn't seem to be much activity since last year, and on Jim Keir's site, recent activity is even older, like 2019. No response to a support ticket.
I recently tried to use it, after a long hiatus. No...
I must be missing something. When I import 'Live' images from my iPhone 11 ProMax, I only get a static HEIC image file. If I export (the unmodified original) from Apple Photos, I get two files, one the static HEIC, and the other a .MOV.
I neglected to answer your question. I have several powered EHDs and an unpowered EHD, but none are SSDs.
I think I need to focus on a replacement. But is the failure of this SSD the device itself, or the connections? Or are my two computers simply too old to work with it?
I tend to agree with you.
However, this morning I tried a slightly different approach. I deleted all but the Settings folder from the SSD, and copied just the catalog folder from my Dropbox folder (it seems to work just fine), leaving the previews to rebuild again.
It is working, and I was...
Thanks for these extensive instructions, which I think is a good method to try.
I followed them carefully. But, when I ran the program, it crashed immediately. It wanted to repair the catalog, which of course failed.
I then went to a recent backup, which I knew was good. It loaded, synced...
