I am new to this forum and this is my first post...hope someone can help. I began using Lr a few weeks ago and all is going well except for one issue...importing images. I have begun importing images into the Lr catalog and I have a separate HD just for textures. When in Lr, on the left side of the screen, in the Folders Panel, I only see a list of the top 8 folders on that drive that contain my texture images...I can not scroll down to view any of the other folders on the drive. I have no idea of what I have to do to see, or scroll to, the rest of the folders on the drive. Any suggestions?

If you haven't imported any photos from the missing folders, they won't show up in Lightroom. LR isn't a file browser, it only knows about the images you've imported.

Got that...so the question then is how do I get to the folders that are also on the drive but are not showing up in the panel because I have no ability to scroll past what you see in the attached image?.

Did you import photos from the missing folders? Like I said, LR won't show them to you unless you did that.

No...I can not scroll to them so I can't do any imports. The folders that you see in the attached image have all been imported.

What do you mean with 'I can not scroll to them'? You do not have to scroll to them in the folder panel, you have to click the 'Import' button at the bottom and then select the folder(s) in the import dialog that follows. Just like you must have done with the folders that are already shown...

Can you show us a screenshot of what you see in the Import dialog, in particular the left-hand panel with the Textures drive selected? And also a Finder view of the same drive?

Is it not easier to rightclick the toplevel 'textures' folder (in Lightroom) and choose for 'synchronize folder'?

'Textures' is the name of the external disk (the OP uses a Macintosh). I do not see a top level folder with that name.
