Windows 10 Creator - Game Mode On or Off

Thanks for calling my attention to Game Mode. It's a good thing to know about. You evidently have to tell Windows that LR is a game. Having Game Mode turned on isn't sufficient:

However, I can't answer your question any easier than you can. Why don't you try it?

I guess trying is the best way to find out but just wanted to see if there was a definite yes / no to this query.

You prompted me into trying it. So far - no problems or issues; and no real noticeable positive effect yet. I have some heavy editing work to do this afternoon, so I'll see how it goes.

After a day of running with the Game mode on, I would say that it might help a little, but not a lot. Early in the editing process, I seem to get a bit better response in switching from Library to Develop and back; but later on, it still slows down quite a bit. I do hear my laptop fan running more, so I assume the pc is working harder.
I did bring LR to its knees with a 12 photo pano. It eventually survived, but it was hung up for 3 or 4 minutes before I could do a normal exit followed by a restart of LR.

Besides turning on game mode, did you do Win+G while LR had focus and tell windows that LR is a game?

Yes - LR is a "game" .

I also tried today. I had intensive key wording to do. Managed to crash LR with both Game Mode off and on (with LR recognized as a game). So I don't really think it makes any difference.
