Import Options LR6

Exact Lightroom Version (Help menu > System Info): ^ Version 6.13

I am following the Lightroom Queen Book instructions on Importing images.

The book makes reference to going to "Import Options", "Preference dialogue/General Tab. Example 3.41 in the book to changes preferences to stop LR from reverting back to previous/earlier collection.

I have clicked on "Import", underneath Import, every vacant area on the Library screen but I cannot find/bring up the Import Options box. Is this because I am Adding images to a Folder that I have created rather than Moving or Copying images? Either way, I would appreciate advice on where this B***&%$#@** box is please before I throw my computer out the window!

its in the book ; the import preferences/options are under Edit / Preferences under the General Tab..... you have to be outside the import dialog to be able to select the Edit menu item.

Thankyou. I did not make the correlation between the General Tab and the dialogue box shown in the book. Got it now.
