since the latest upgrade Lightroom (Classic)keeps hanging after a while
Spinning wheel or just unresponsive e.g was just selected dozen or so files with a view to changing their label but it stopped responding to mouse clicks altogether
I restarted it

A lot of the time I export a jpg to one folder then immediately export as a TIFF to a different folder. [or vice versa]
Can this be done with one single action?
Operating System:
Mac 10.13
Lightroom Version:
6.12
Question or Description of Problem:
So I have just created a collection and the image I was working on is now displaying on my screen IN that collection.
How do I instantly return to the same image in the folder I was working on prior to...
Operating System:
Mac OS Huge Sierra (10.13)
Lightroom Version:

Question or Description of Problem:
Is there a way to mask noise reduction in the same way as sharpening masking?
I want to be able to limit the NR to the deep shadows only where it needs it quite strongly but the rest of...
I play with the sliders a LOT when editing an image I get frustrated at having to double click to reset, it is slow and clumsy compared to a keystroke,
I wish there was a SINGLE Keystroke (not combination) to reset sliders rather than having to accurately double click on the slider name...
Is there a. way to make a smart collection from each import, and as separated date folders (or any custom name?) within the upper folder.
i.e.
Folder:
'Smart Import Collection' >
>>Folder 'import date' (or any custom name?)
>>Folder 'import date'
>>Folder 'import date'
>>Folder 'import date'...
Purely out of interest: if I copy (i.e. remember) a recipe from one adjustment e.g. gradient tool: contrast +100, highlights -100, Clarity +23, and transfer it to the brush tool, are the effects , technically speaking, identical?
....and on that note -is there a simple way to copy the recipe? {...
I get error messages if I try to update from 6.8 (perpetual) to 6.9 or 6.10, (from Links in Victoria's Blog)
I did recently have to back up from Time machine- has that caused this ?
trying to update from the app just says no updates available ( as it always does and always has)
I would like to...
I notice that the black and white previews of images exist in LR for a while after importing RAW files(Canon) but then I watch as they are converted to colour previews.
So what happens to those camera previews (jpegs?) ? Does LR just discard them?
The dates next to my images seem wrong..I have images that appear to be taken next month etc....not sure if it is LR doing it, as thats what I import with, or a camera (5DsR) problem or computer problem (iMac 27" 2013).
Date on computer is correct, date in camera is correct- I expect I have set...
Hi
I notice that LR 6.8 has
Canon 5DSR – updated lower contrast Adobe Standard v2 profile
Is this the SAME as the low contrast plug-in from the lovely Mr Chan ? (that I have set automatically on import?
also.....
I have never seen this before - is this anew feature? (backup file size warning)
I only just noticed that there is a black and white option in the basic panel! DUH!
How is it different to the one two panels lower (HSL/Color/B&W), other than we have the sliders in that panel
i.e. does it use the same method to set mono as the B&W method , is it the same as auto mix, etc. or...
is it possible to set a +/- percentage colour temp change rather than specific colour temp e.g. warm by 10%, asa preset so no matter what the starting colour temp it would warm it, (rather than a toning preset which would affect different images differently)
Thanks
It seems to me that recently the behaviour of the filmstrip in develop mode has changed. More probably I just haven't noticed it before. Please advise?:
What happens is that if I am working on say image 1234 and I click in the filmstrip on image 1233, LR changes mode back to library. It...
I can't see profiles for Fuji lenses coming up when I use fuji
Does that mean there are no fuji lens profiles or just that I haven't set things right?
thanks
One problem I have is:
I recently imported some shots from the fuji camera Im trying out to see if I like fuji, (M1), and decided to abort the import as it also has my wife's shots on and I only wanted to import mine. After cancelling the import I reimported my shots but the sequence is no...

"Lightroom CC/6 Update – March 2016
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210"
I wanted to separate some images according to whether IS (Image stabilisation) is on or off but can't find how to do it
Any advice much appreciated....
Is there a way to 'bookmark' where you are in LR?
I sometimes find I have found an image I want to work on next , but there's other things I have to do first and quick collection has already got crowded with another project I was on.
Too many images already have flags to use that, same with...
I just upgraded to Mac OS 10.11.3 and whilst everything worked fine in ElCatpin previously since the upgrade when I select "edit in"_>Photoshop, and edit copy with LR adjustments - it creates another copy but doesn't hand off to Photoshop
LR 6.3
I was just pondering how I would like Camera manufacturers to provide can auto mode that always aimed to ETTR i.e. use every last bit of the exposure potential automically and if they did how great it would be if then LR could automatically bring it back to 18% grey
It wouldn't be perfect but...
