Hello, I have a very problematic laptop that shuts off for no reason (hours and weeks of research). Anyway, it did this yesterday while I had Lightroom open. Now, my library folders show a count of images in each folder, but the folders have a question mark on them. And images show up in both thumbnail and full view, but I am unable to edit or work with them.
There is a note under the Histogram window that reads, "Photo is missing". When I click on it and try to link to the file in explorer, I get a window saying that the "File...is associated with another photo in catalog."
I checked to see that there was an lrcat.lock file and I deleted it.
I went to file, select catalog and selected LR 5 Cat the only catalog I have
I have restarted my computer
I am using Lightroom 5.2
How do I fix this issue? Thanks for your help.
Barbara
