Develop edits lost

Hi folks,
I've been loosing edits on some of the images I worked on, the emphasis is on SOME. The images that lost edits have nothing in common. The catalog contains over 70k images. When I go back to photos that I worked on a while ago(6 months, 12 months) some retain the changes and some don't. I can see no pattern in what is happening. Any help would be appreciated

I don't know what's happening but it's good to create a 'baseline' which you can guard by making a smart collection: Has adjustments = 'true'.
Now you can see how much edited photo's reside in your catalog. Write down the number and check tomorow and the days after if the number is changing.

You don't ever Synchronize Folders, do you? That's often a suspect.
