Newcomer to Lightroom

Howdie - Im an amateur photographer from Zimbabwe, Africa. I have a MacBook Pro and a Panasonic FZ1000 camera. Until now, I used Picasa, but since its been discontinued, I purchased Lightroom. Im having a few problems I cant solve from watching tutorials and hope I can get advice from here

It's always nice to know where everyone is from. I've travelled quite a lot in east and south africa. Only once, changing trains, in Bulawayo, and mostly remember the very wide streets.
